Family bike ride today. Kailee got dress up, clipped in and was ready to go!



Nate was in the trailer behind me. A good recovery ride after yesterdays race.

Well...as with any milestone....it was interesting, fun and full of surprises....we got a fish tank this weekend....10 gallons. As you might imagine we waited all of 4 hours before tossing in two fish that will struggle to survive in a non-cycled tank...but we could not wait (any of us) AND it contains a "princess castle" for the fish to "live in".
So far not too bad...no foreign objects in the tank, no spilled water...no fish deaths....what more can you really ask for. They both clammer to feed them, talk to them and Nate wants to take them for a walk in the baby stroller (no actual stroller time has yet to be logged)...

Sibling Love

I actually was sure that I would never see it....sibling love. These two are very competitive...but here it is.,...Nate sitting on Kailee's lap and getting love.....treasure it...even if only for a short time...before he gets pushed to the floor....:)

The Backpack

Earlier this week Nate and I got out for a little walk around the neighborhood lake. I didn't want to push the stroller so I asked if he was interesed in riding in the backpack. He was pretty excited about the raised view. We stopped and checked out the "water falls" in the local drainage stream, the ducks in the pond, kids playing food ball, a cat and the spring flowers. The back pack is great because we can have a conversation, he is by my head so I can hear him and we are basically looking the same direction.

Our first kid-less vacation was cold but fun in Moab...doing whatever we wanted....whenever we wanted....ah!!!! The downside...kids that think you are going to abandon them and cling to you like a post-it for 3 days....

Worth it? (short pause for thoughtfulness)...DEFINITELY!

Sorry to the folks at the Apex

Two weeks ago Nate puked in the Family Hot Tube. Closing it while they filtered it and added chemicals. Sorry everyone, for taking away your enjoyment.

We went to the Apex "Big Tree Pool" this afternoon. Nate pooped in his swim diaper. If you know anything about swim diapers, they are basically just coffee filters. Well, we didn't catch it until it was mostly filtered. At least the pool wasn't closed. Sorry everyone, but at least you got to enjoy your swim.
