Santa's Puke-shop...I mean Santa's Workshop...

We took the kids to a mini-amusement park west of Colorado Springs called "Santa's Workshop"...off the Pikes Peak Hwy. Its has LOTS of good rides for kids 6 and under and some "spin you till you puke rides" like my favorite the Tilt-O-Whirl and the Scrambler....

The kids had a great time....they were fearless....Kailee and Nate would have ridden on them all if my stomach could have taken it.
My 2 Nephews, Karen (sister in law) and Brian's parents all went....none of us actually puked....not everyone in the park was so lucky....

Binky down....

Saturday June 6, 2009 1:26pm: Nate bites a hole in his last binky. Hinders his sucking, but Nate hangs on and still requires the binky attached to his shirt.
Monday June 8, 2009 11:35am: Nate pulls the entire end off his binky while playing in the toy room. Cries.

Monday June 8, 2009 11:37am: Nate tries to suck on the binky...it just falls out of his mouth.
Monday June 8, 2009 12:30pm: Nap time. Nate rocks, holding the binky and sticking his finger through the sucking part....decides to leave the binky sitting the dresser...instead of taking it to bed for the nap. (This ends the binky pinned to his shirt)
Tuesday June 9, 2009 all day: Binky (and piece he ripped off) remain on the counter in the kitchen, where he occasionally reminds me that it is broken.
Tuesday June 9, 2009 5:35pm: Sister Kailee goes around with the ripped off piece of binky on her finger saying "I cannot feel anything on my finger when I have this on...its like a hat for my finger." It actually looks like a very small condom....
Wednesday June 10, 2009 11:10am: We take picture of the broken binky and Nate throws the binky in the kitchen trash.

Binky detachment went smoother than I anticipated....:)

Naked Day

After an outside meeting with the hair trimmer...Nate got some of his favorite things......

Kailee was soo tired last night she was a little delirious. She wanted to stay awake and was willing to do whatever it took to do it. Pain appeared to be her method of choice. I told her she had better take all that off before she fell asleep or she wasn't going to wake up happy. I checked later, she made a wise choice. Ouch.
