Nate Bike Update

Nate has made continued progress with his bike skills, steep downhill dirt runs, ramps and even the "cross" mount....in the first video he doesn't make it....but redeems himself in video #2.
Nate also got his next size bike (thanks to the thrift store)...I was not planning on getting him one yet...but I found a $15 deal that I could not pass up. He's not as good on the bigger bike because he cannot touch the ground...so he uses his "little bike" to do "tricks".

Nate has had kind of an up and down soccer season, he started the first two games playing, going after the ball and scoring goals....the next game sitting on my lap....and this weekend's game playing 10 minutes, sitting out, then playing goal for about 5 minutes.....
Our last week is next week...we'll see what happens.... can I expect anything different?...he's only 3!
Thank goodness MLS tryouts aren't for another 2 months.... :)

It was hot on Saturday....got to stay hydrated! He ran like a champ for 1 whole hour!
He has 1/2 hr practice, 1/2 hour game....above is practice!
In traffic....the first few elbows and bonked heads kind of shocked him....but it did not take long for him to get the hang of "taking the ball from the other team"....2 goals, one near goal and a goal for the other team....he he

Kindergarden here she comes.....

First day of school at our local Elementary....she was excited and a little scared. Tension build up caused a few tears after I left but her good friend Keara helped out and she was fine...YEAH!Keara and Kailee ready to walk to school!
Sitting with classmates in the library, we are dropping them in the library every morning for 2 weeks....just to get a routine down and give the moms and dads and saying goodbye spot.
Week and a half in and she LOVES it......

A day of Make Believe at the Children's Museum

Dr. Nate....how can I help you? Grandma and Papa France come up for the day and we went to the museum, we all had a great time.....they have so much to do there...we had a hard time keeping up with all the make believe going on.

New room decoration

Grandma Bon gave me this canopy a while ago and I had been trying to figure out exactly what to do with it....but after Kailee watched "Trading Spaces" she was convinced her room needed a make-over! SO was broke out the canopy and now she has a cozy reading nook!
We hung dangling hearts and stars from the top for a groovy view....
All her most special toys and pillows now reside in her special spot!.....Boys beware...you are not allowed!

Return Trip.....

The return trip included a few more naps...luckily...and a little more whining...but not bad all in all. They watched 2 movies on the return home...2 more than on the way out....quiet time....We stopped this time in Amarillo...I do not recommend it...but we needed the break. Left early again 3:50AM and arrived in Amarillo at dinner time....the new toys gleamy shine wearing off fast. We got up Saturday AM and hit the road without gracing the pool, which is okay since you could not see the bottom of the pool anyway (YUCK)...and it was only 3 foot deep at one end....ouch. We packed up trying to touch as little as possible in a Holiday Inn that had seen MUCH better days...Arrived home to the neighborhood kids playing outside...AHHH...its good to be home!
